ESPORTS | MEET THE CONTENDERS

The Online Series has finished, and three teams have earned their tickets to The Grand Major 2026. It’s Five Fears, Luminon Gaming, and KingZero heading to Dreamhack Stockholm, where sixteen teams will compete for $150,000 from November 27 to 29.

Missed the season? Here’s who you’re meeting.

EMEA | Five Fears

Five Fears made themselves almost impossible to catch on game day, with a whole cycle left to play. They won the second and third of the region’s four events, and that second win came after losing their opening Cashout, then fighting back through the lower bracket. For this roster, even a bad start couldn’t keep them from the title. They had finished the season with a place on every podium, so if you’re looking for a team that’s been consistent and strong, start here.

AMERICAS | Luminon Gaming

Fourth, third, second, first. That’s right, Luminon Gaming’s roster is improving throughout the season, one placement at a time. Ending with a win when a direct invitation was resting on the line. You might remember them as Team ED before they joined Luminon Gaming. They entered the last event tied at the top with Unphased, then beat NTMR in the final to finish the season as our regional champions. Now that climb takes them to Stockholm!

APAC | KingZero

KingZero won the opening cycle and led the region through the first half of the season. Then HIBOO, now signed by Ape Squad, had taken the lead with just one event remaining. KZ had to take back the golden ticket standing, and a third-place finish in the last cycle was enough to reclaim the top spot and the invitation. They reached the podium in all four cycles. A reminder that you do not have to win every show to win out the season!

So, can you join them?

Thirteen places are still up for grabs. The Closed Qualifiers decide who fills them, with teams from the Online Series meeting challengers coming up from the Open Qualifiers. Win this stage and the next stop is The Grand Major.

APAC’s Closed Qualifier stage is already set, but if you’re from AMERICAS or EMEA and you think you have what it takes to face the main stage, feel free to sign up below, with a chance to get an exclusive charm for participating in the Open Qualifiers

Thank you from all of us watching along throughout the Online Series. It’s been exciting to see the community come together through OFL, ProHubs and ApeSquad running watch-parties during the T16 stages, to watching everyone cheer their teams and following the fight for qualification, and now the main event is getting ready.
We have only one question left...

CAN YOU REACH THE FINALS?

GAME UPDATE | BALANCE CHANGES

Gadgets

Zipline

  • Decreased cooldown from 37s to 30s

  • Increased max placement distance from 40m to 50m

Dev Note: The Zipline has struggled to find relevance in the meta for a while now compared to the Jumppad and Gateway. These changes aim to close that gap a little.

Specializations

Evasive Dash

  • Decreased cooldown from 6s to 5s per charge

Dev Note: We decreased the cooldown from 6.5s to 6s in the 11.6 update, but our feeling is this didn’t have the level of impact we wanted once we saw it being played in the live game. This further reduction of one second to the cooldown hopefully helps to balance out the Evasive Dash versus alternatives like the Cloaking Device.

Cloaking Device

  • Increased the visibility of the Cloaking Device when stationary by decreasing how much it blends in with the surrounding environment, making cloaked players slightly easier to spot

Dev Note: We’re aware that a lot of players find it frustrating to face cloaked players, so this adjustment aims to make them slightly easier to find than they have been in recent months. We’re not 100% convinced this is the only change we’ll need to make to this aspect of the game to get it to a better place for all players, and we’re continuing to explore other ideas around the combat loop when it comes to cloaking, but any additional changes will come in later releases, when we’ve had a chance to see how this change plays.
