Hey there, Contestants!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been running small live tests of an updated Vault and Cashout spawn system, and we’ve been really happy with what we’ve seen so far. We left it enabled over the weekend, and based on both data and player experience, we’re confident enough to keep it on going forward.
Some of you eagle-eyed Contestants already noticed these changes, and pointed them out!
As with all things, your feedback is important, and we’ll be looking for your impressions.

Game Modes
Cashout/Ranked Tournaments
Introduced a new system for the spawn logic of Vaults and Cashout Stations, which more reliably pairs Vaults with Cashouts, aiming to keep them roughly 50m-110m apart from each other.
This change impacts Cashout rounds only, with the tournament's Final Round using its own system.
Dev: For some time now the logic we’ve used to spawn Vaults and Cashout Stations has been prone to either placing two Cashout Stations in the same half of the map, or placing Vaults almost equidistant between two Cashout Stations. Both of these scenarios increase the rate of third-party encounters and can cause a lot of frustration for players, as well as hindering the mode's pacing.
This new system pairs Vaults with Cashout Stations, leading to less accidental third-parties and making it more clear what the best Cashout Station is to take your Vault to.
This new system has already been tested in the live game over the last few weeks, being turned on for a small number of hours across a few different test windows. Based on the data we’ve gathered from these, we’re happy with the results so are now turning the system on permanently.
